在这几年中，国内职业滑手的转会和各种新的滑板品牌也屡见不鲜。在滑板进入奥运会的今天，国内也出现了很多所谓的滑板协会。中国滑板的不断发展造就了很大的不同和机遇！ 这次我们听说了New Balance Numeric -也就是他们的滑板系列，明年将会进入中国，我们专程去采访了他们，打探了一 下谁将成为New Balance Numeric第一个国内赞助的滑手！ 前段时间，Vice中国放出了5段国内职业滑手的故事纪录片，纪录片最后一名滑手是在国内开始滑板随后成为了PRO的Dan Leung! 他在圈内的曝光率和滑板水平毋庸置疑,成为了New Balance Numeric 亚洲team的首选！近期他已经正式转入了New Balance, 我们这次也采访到了他，了解一下他对中国滑板环境的看法和New Balance Numeric 在全球的计划!最近Dan Leung和NB的国际团队 Marquise Henry, Marius Syvanen, Anthony Schultz 等，在亚洲Tour并且一起筹备新的Video, 如果你还不了解他以及New Balance Numeric 的话就快来看看下面的采访吧！近期我们也会持续报道他们之后在亚洲的一些行程！

The skate scene in China this past year has been going through many changes; many pros are switching to different companies, new companies are coming in, and even the addition of skateboarding into the Olympics has spawned a new breed of Government regulated Skateboarding Olympic committees. With word of the New Balance Numeric program entering China next year, we got in touch with the program to see who they had their eyes set on in introducing as the first China rider for their team. Recently, Vice had released a 5 part video series featuring the stories of 5 Professional skaters in China, with the last video being a memorable narration from Shanghai based skater Dan Leung on his experiences growing up in China and his personal journey of becoming Pro in China. The exposure and level that Dan’s skating is at, it’s no wonder that the New Balance Numeric program took notice and added him on as part of the New Balance APAC team. It’s official, Dan Leung is now riding for New Balance Numeric, and with this, we had the oppurtunity to touch base with him to see his insight on the scene in China, New Balance Numeric’s future plans regionally and globally, and also the recent tour he’s on with NB Numeric’s global riders Marquise Henry, Marius Syvanen, Anthony Schultz to name a few. Marquise Henry Foreword : 我第一次认识Dan是在2015年4月的时候，我和Anthony Claraval计划来上海旅行拍摄一点东西。当时我们正在为Thrasher拍摄我的“Keep It Moving”个人片段，然后Dan就与我们碰头，带我们到处逛逛还跟我们一起滑板。他滑板的时候我注意到了一点，就是他很有风格，很多技巧性很高的招他都能做。就比如在上海的这个地形，他做了一个front shove front crook相当漂亮。他也是个很chill的人，性格很好，你绝对会想跟他做朋友，跟他一起滑板的，因为他总是那么嗨。现在，我就是想要宣布他加入了NB# team，给大家带来他独特的风格和活跃的气氛。在NB#亚洲Tour期间我一定要和他一起好好呆上几天，那就等到Tour的时候好好玩一把。

Marquise Henry Foreword: The first time I met Dan was in April 2015 during a trip Anthony Claraval and I had planned in Shanghai China. We were filming for my “Keep It Moving” part for Thrasher & Dan met up with us in the city to show us around and to skate with us. One thing that I noticed about his skateboarding is that he has a lot of style, and has a heavy bag of technical tricks; for example we were at this spot in Shanghai and he did a front shove front crook that was proper! He’s a pretty chill person, he has a good personality and a good vibe. He’s definitely someone you want to meet up with and skate with, because he keeps the session full of hype! I’m definitely hyped that he is now on the NB# team, bringing his unique style and good vibes. I’m actually about to go on a NB# Asia tour with him in a few days so it’s going to be dope to see him on that tour killin’ it.

The Dan Leung Interview:

Skatehere: 在过去的一年中，国内滑板产业发生了很多巨大的变化，有的公司进来了，有的公司离开了，还有pro们的转会。你是什么正式离开Nike SB的，你又是怎么加入到New Balance Numeric的，或者说是New Balance Numeric是怎么找到你的？

Dan: 是的，国内的滑板圈肯定是在慢慢发展的。转会的事也是全靠Ant，我们之前就一起旅行过并认识了彼此，所以当他入职NB#后他就问我是否愿意为他们滑板，然后我在6月份离开Nike，就是现在这样了。

Skatehere: In this past year, there have been some huge changes in the Chinese skate industry with companies coming in and pulling out, and pros switching to different sponsors. When did you officially leave Nike SB and how’d you make the move to New Balance Numeric, or rather how did New Balance Numeric find you?

Dan: Yeah, the skate scene is growing for sure! It was all through Ant, we have been on a bunch of trips together and had known each other a while now so when he got the position of at NB# he asked me if I would be down to skate for them. I left Nike SB in June and here we are.

Skatehere: 你的Vice纪录片非常引人关注，尤其你说上海是国内滑手最想去到并能成为pro的城市，那你觉得面对所有的这些（这里的大公司，竞争，生活费，著名地形）对于新晋滑手来说要这么去做还依旧容易吗？你认为什么会是最大的挑战？

Dan: 说实话，我觉得今天的孩子甚至都不会像那样想。像你说的，生活费是我在上海最大的障碍。上海有很多spot，但是国内的其他地方也有很多地形啊，哈哈。现在的孩子只需要去做他们自己的事，像拍摄视频片段、照片之类的。现在又有那么多的社交媒体，所以你在哪里根本没那么重要。

Skatehere: Your Vice documentary was the most interesting, especially speaking on Shanghai being the city in China for local skaters to move to, to make it Pro. Do you think with all things in mind (big companies based here, competitions, living expenses, well-known spots) it’s still easy for young up and coming skaters to do that now? What do you think would be the hardest challenge?

Dan: To be honest, I think these days kids don’t even have to think like that. Like you said, the living expense to me would be the biggest obstacle out in Shanghai. Shanghai has got spots but so does the rest of China. The kids these days just got to do their own thing like film parts, shooting photos etc. With all the online social media these days it doesn’t matter where you are.

Skatehere: 你大多数的时间都住在了中国，你整个的滑板生涯都在这边的滑板圈里，依你被赞助然后成为pro的经验来看，从机遇还有pro薪水的前景来说，这几年的滑板圈有些什么改变？

Dan: 我那时候在这里发展滑板已经与现在的情况完全不同了。所有的大牌都出手了，当今的孩子们就有更大的机会来做一些能让他们滑板更出彩的事。我觉得这些孩子们只需要大展鸿图，就有可能在国内成为一个大牌的赞助滑手，这也是你向国际化发展的一块垫脚石。而最后怎么结束就取决于你个人了，或者说他们想在这个产业里呆多久。

Skatehere: You’ve lived in China most of your life and have been in the skate scene here for your whole skate career. From your experience getting sponsored and then becoming Pro, how has the scene changed over these years in terms of oppurtunities, and the outlook Pro’s have on getting paid to skate?

Dan: Growing up skating here was completely different to what it is now. With all the big brand names actually making moves out here the kids these days got great chance of making something out of their skating, I think kids just got to see the bigger picture, the fact that you could become a sponsored skater in China under a big name brand is only a stepping stone to what you could become globally. At the end of the day, it just depends on the individual and how far they want to push themselves in the industry.

Skatehere: 你能告诉我们一点关于你这个礼拜五被邀请去的旅行的事吗？你们会跟哪些人一起去哪些地方，是否会出一部新的New Balance Numeric片子？

Dan: 这次旅行会去到澳门、香港还有韩国。我们会为PJ Ladd 533一双鞋的视频拍摄一些片段，我们从旅行的第一站就开始拍摄，之后也会时不时地去拍摄。而全球队伍的滑手Marquise，Tom，Axel，Anthony还有Marius则要为另外一双鞋拍摄。

Skatehere: Can you tell us a little bit of the tour that you’ve been invited to go on last Friday? Who’s all going, which places you guys are hitting up, and whether you guys are coming out with another inspiring New Balance Numeric video?

Dan: It is a trip to Macau, Hong Kong and Korea. We will be filming clips for a video that is going to showcase one of the models of the PJ Ladd 533 shoe. We started this on our first trip and been fliming for it on and off trips since. The global guys Marquise, Tom, Axel, and Marius are all filming for another shoe.

Skatehere: New Balance Numeric队伍里你最喜欢和谁一起滑板？还有在这次旅行中你会和谁滑得最嗨？

Dan: 我之前唯一见过的就是Marquise，但在这次行程中，我也会跟所有人都玩得很好的，这一定会是一次很棒的旅行。

Skatehere: Who on the New Balance Numeric team do you like skating with the most? Who are you most hyped to skate with on this trip?

Dan: The only one I’ve met before is Marquise, but I’m hyped to get to skate with all the guys on this trip! Its gonna be a good one.

Skatehere: 你作为New Balance Numeric项目亚太地区的一部分，什么是让你感到最兴奋的，还有你现在最期待什么？

Dan: 我对所有事都感到很兴奋，最是期待我们将要开始的这场旅行。只要像往常那么忙活就可以了。

Skatehere: What are you most excited about and looking forward towards now that you’re an integral part of the APAC New Balance Numeric program?

Dan: I’m excited about the whole thing! Mostly I’m looking forward to the trips that we will be going on and just keeping busy in general.

Skatehere: 已经发布过两个片段（Knowledge 和 Something Sinister），我们是不是可以期待你最近将会再发布一个个人片段吗？

Dan: 当然，我很快就会发布一个新的片段，你知道的哈哈。

Skatehere: With two parts locked down (Knowledge and Something Sinister), can we expect another part from you in the near future?

Dan: Ya, for sure. I’ll be coming out with a part real soon. You know that! Haha

Skatehere: 在国内，Pro很少会发布个人片段，那在拍摄和发布你个人片段的时候你最享受什么？

Dan: 通常我不会那么想，我就喜欢滑板的时候边上有一台摄像机。当我开始想要在哪里做什么招的时候，它就会鞭策我，一天结束后，你就可以回放那些片段，记得你今天都做了些什么。

Skatehere: In China, it’s so rare that Pros come out with parts anymore, what do you enjoy the most about filming and coming out with your own part?

Dan: Usually I dont think about it. I just like to go skate and always have a camera nearby. When I start to think about what trick and where, it starts to stress me out. At the end of the day though, a part is what you have to look back on and what you will be remembered by.

Skatehere: 在国内很多人还没有机会能试穿到New Balance Numeric，那你觉得New Balance Numeric怎么样呢？你最喜欢穿哪一双鞋滑板？

Dan: 我非常喜欢它们！它们真的很舒适，而且很快很容易就能适应。我穿533滑得最多，目前为止，这也是我最喜欢的鞋了。

Skatehere: A lot of people in China haven’t had the oppurtunity to try out New Balance Numeric yet, how do you like the New Balance Numeric shoes and which model do you like skating the most?

Dan: I like them a lot! They are real comfy and break in quick and easy. Ive been skating the 533 the most, thats probably my favourite so far.

Skatehere: New Balance Numeric 什么时候能进入中国呢？你觉得他们会赞助这边其他的滑手吗？

Dan: 我不能给你一个确切的日期，但是这都快了，我也确信将来会有更多的中国滑手的。

Skatehere: When can we expect New Balance Numeric to enter China, do you think they will sponsor other guys out here?

Dan: I wouldn’t be able to give you an exact date but its gonna be soon. I’m sure theres gonna be more China riders in the future.

Skatehere: 对这些新鲜血液，新晋滑手还有什么想说的吗？

Dan: 坚持滑板，找寻乐趣！

Skatehere: Any last words for young bloods on the come up?

Dan: Keep skating and have fun!
