Elliott:我叫Elliot，我是个生活在上海的美国人。过去的5个月里我开始了Studio 191这个项目。我喜欢大城市的感觉，喜欢吃蔬菜也喜欢得病，哈哈。

2.你已经在上海住了一阵子了，感觉这怎么样？

Elliott:上海市一个很有意思的城市，我真的特别喜欢这里。住在这里引起了我很大的好奇心而且给了我一个对远东兴奋而又有趣的生活新感观。

3.最近你在忙些什么？Studio 191 最近怎么样？

Elliott:我最近一直在滑板，同时也在做Studio 191的一些活动，很难相信Studio 191 现在壮大的如此迅速，这也让我很为吃惊。

4.对于很多不太了解Studio 191的朋友，给大家做个简单的介绍让我们一起来了解下Studio 191是什么吧？

Elliott:现在的话Studio 191是一个艺术团体活动主要是去推广滑手和一些创意人物的作品，我们基本上都是在一个年龄层，同时也都是有很多想法的年青人，我们每个月也发布一本作品集来回顾我们这个月所做的活动。

5.是什么让你开始去做Studio 191的呢

Elliott:这是因为我搬到了一个工作室去开始我自己的艺术项目，在我搬进去的那周我做了一个派对，邀请了我的好朋友然后让他们把一些摄影作品提供出来然后挂在墙上，然后这个派对活动就成为了一个固定项目，现在就变成了Studio 191。

6.下一场Studio 191的活动是什么？2015年你又为Studio 191做了怎样的计划？

Elliott:下一场的主题是“日边海边”一场走过印度尼西亚的视觉之旅。这是一个独立的摄影展，作品来自摄影师/滑手，Jay Meador！

Elliott:2015年，Studio 191 会继续很多源自生活源自朋友们的艺术创意活动。同时照片展每个月都会进行，我们还是会在一些很有趣的店铺或者活动场所举行，依然是以摄影师或艺术家按照指定的主题提供作品，然后我们将他们的作品进行展示并出售。同时Jay Meador也会开始他的个人展，但是是以Studio 191名义进行的。同时我们也希望Studio 191可以跳出上海，来到北京、香港和其他一些城市展开。

7.最近的滑板生活如何？还是每天在滑板么？

Elliott:对呀，还是每天在继续滑板，现在基本上都是和我好朋友Brian一起滑，他也会摄像，我们互相拍一些Video也经常一起。

8.你感觉滑板为Studio 191带来了些什么？

Elliott:Studio 191的根源就是在街头滑板的那些生活记录，没有滑板就不会有Stuido 191

1.Tell us a little bit of yourself

Elliott:My name is Elliott, I’m an American living in Shanghai, and in the past five months I started Studio191. I like big city vibes, eating vegetables and getting ill, yo.

2.You have been living in Shanghai for quite a while, how do you like the living?!

Elliott:Shanghai is a fascinating city, and I do indeed like it very much. Living here lls my curiosity and gives me an exciting and useful insight and perspective of the Far East.!

3.What have u been up to recently?How is Studio 191 doing?!

Elliott:I’ve been skating a lot. I’ve also been working on Studio191. It’s going super well. It’s hard to believe how fast it’s grown actually.!

4.For people who dont know so much about Studio 191,can you give us a brief introduction of what it is?!

Elliott:Yea, for sure. At the moment, Studio191 is a community collective project that has art parties focused on photos and art created by skaters and creative people in elds not too far off. We also release a zine once a month that showcases the pieces put in the shows.

Elliott:Studio191 doesn’t have it’s own home right now, which gives it the opportunity to oat around to rad spaces, like boutiques, galleries and skate shops in order to make an art party aimed at the needs for that business.!

5.what makes you start Studio 191?!

Elliott:I originally moved into this studio space to work on my own art projects. The rst week I moved in, I throw a party, where my close friends printed their own photo and put it on my wall. It turned out to be a thing, and has been going ever since.!

6.whats the next show gonna be?and what do you see studio 191 in 2015?!

Elliott:By Sun By Sea: A Visual Journey Through Indonesia is the next show. It is a solo photo exhibition with photos by skater and photographer, Jay Meador.!

Elliott:In 2015, Studio191 will continue to create projects for the people by the people. The collective photos parties will continue each month, where a local business picks a theme that ts their style, photographers submit a photo showing that theme, then we print them and put them on the wall to try and make the artist some money.Furthermore, Jay has the rst solo show, and this will continue as called Studio191.There are other projects in the works, but soon I will be also looking to cities outside of Shanghai, such as Beijing, Hong Kong and else where outside of China to expand Studio191 internationally.!

7.How is your skating life?are you still skating everyday?!

Elliott:Yea, I skate nearly everyday. Always on the board, yo. Been real hyped to get back out and lm more with my homie Kleiber. All those downtown cutty city vibes.!

8.What do you think skating brought to Studio 191?!

Elliott:Studio191’s roots come from that ill, city-skate style and scene. Without skating, Studio191 wouldn’t exist!
